Update 10/21/2026
October 21, 2026
1. Just a reminder: the annual league membership fee ($400) is due October 24th. If you are still experiencing difficulties with this, just contact me and I will work with you. As of today, we are at over 85% paid so we are in pretty good shape.
2. All checks received through this morning (10/20/26) were processed and confirmation e-mails sent out. REMINDER: unless you got a confirmation from me, you are NOT confirmed for tournaments. You "signing up" with your administration is not how registration works. The tournament registration is confirmed only when a payment is received or an e-mail from your administration verifying that the payment is "approved and in process of being sent out".
3. Upcoming events: tournament information for all Oct 24 & 25 tournaments have been e-mailed to the participating team reps.
Oct-31 @ Villanova: We currently only have two teams (Villanova and Millersville) for October 31 (Sat) tournament at Villanova. Please let me know by no later than this Thursday 2 pm. I know it's a big party day but I would hate to cancel this tournament while many of you are complaining that we need more events you can attend. We must get at least two more teams.
Nov-1 @ URI: 3 spots left. Please let me know by no later than this Thursday 2 pm if you are interested in joining. 9 confirmed teams: URI, UCONN-A, Brown, Quinnipiac, Boston University, Roger Williams, Salve Regina, Boston College, WPI

League teams MUST be willing and able to travel. If you didn't get into a tournament that's close by, then you must travel out little further to play. We will only look into adding tournaments after all the league tournaments are full.

6. We are excited to announce that we now have a new social media coordinator, Kate Lange. Please see her message below.
My name is Kate and I'm helping manage NWVCL's social media this season. We're looking to feature more of our teams and tournaments on the league's Instagram!
Every weekend, each tournament host will be assigned a specific content idea. These will be simple things like filming highlights, team celebrations, quick interviews, or behind-the-scenes moments. Be on the lookout for a DM from @nwvcl_vball on Instagram the week before your hosted tournament. (DMs have been sent for 10/17 & 10/18 so go check!)
Please film videos vertically and send the original clips without music or edits so we can put everything together for the league's Instagram.
We'll share your specific content assignment ahead of your tournament. Please designate one person from your team to be responsible for collecting and submitting everything.
Additionally, each weekend, one tournament host will be selected to take over the NWVCL Instagram Story and share content from their tournament. The selected host team will be provided with login information to post directly to the league's Instagram Story throughout the day. If your team is interested in doing a takeover at your tournament please reach out to me (klange@ncvf.org) with the date, tournament & your team’s name.
We're hoping to feature a variety of content, including:
· Tournament atmosphere: Teams arriving, warmups, and behind-the-scenes moments
· Game highlights: Exciting rallies, kills, blocks, and celebrations
· Team features: Quick player interviews, team introductions, or fun questions
· Tournament updates: Match results, scores, and final placements
· Fun content: Team traditions, funny moments, or anything else that captures the energy of the tournament!
Content doesn't need to be professionally filmed or edited. We're just looking for fun, engaging posts that showcase the teams and the club volleyball community! PLEASE keep things appropriate, absolutely no swearing, inappropriate or offensive language. If a team is caught posting inappropriate content to the Instagram, they will face a penalty. More specific details will be sent if you are selected.
Our goal is to highlight all the schools that make NWVCL what it is and give teams more recognition throughout the season!
Thanks everyone & good luck this weekend!
Best,
Kate Lange
